I have expanded my 2 hovabators to greatly increase their capacity. With one I built a wooden box that would fit the top of the hovabator. I lined the box with styrofoam and put the top on it. On the other I just found a styrofoam box that fit the lid. They can now hold about 5X what they could before.

you need to find a taller bottom for ir...either make it by adding styrofoam to the bottom , and making it taller......or just finding a foam shipping box that the top fits on (fish shipping boxes....even frozen meat boxes)....

then.....taller box will not have the heating element close to the eggs.....

and they hold 4 or 5 clutches.....@ 7 to 10 eggs per clutch.....

it all depends on how they are stacked........

leave them stacked and stuck together.............

also.....I get some clutches about 60 days after the first batch is laid....so I take out the hatching batch and put in a new batch......timing works out if you have alot of laying females......
