You know, cross a honduran milk with a ball python to produce a tri-color python-ish looking snake!
Just Kidding.
All the best,
Perry

Hmm.. The ultimate hybrid to me is either a bloodxball or an ultimate intergrade, of sunglow colombian bci x hogg island x suriname bcc

bluerosy Feb 08, 2004 02:52 PM

heh heh! The drymarchon people would LOVE that.

crimsonking Feb 08, 2004 09:47 PM

So would the indigo! Might I suggest one of your corn x pueblan x getulas for starters? HAHA! Would make a dandy meal and just might get him in the mood for whoopee.
How's things dude? Coming down to Tampa this year?

gabbahey Feb 09, 2004 07:10 AM

I've Hybridized Drymacharon c. couperi with Drymachqaron c. malanurus...the a year later the babies almost all looked like couperi

snakeguy88 Feb 09, 2004 03:34 PM

Generally speaking, they are reffering to all the people coming on here asking about breeding their corn with an indigo or some getula with an indigo. But that is intresting...Still a hybrid. The fact that they almost looked pure is quite sad though. Just another animal that somewhere along the line will probably be mislabeled by some unscrupulous or careless keeper.

congratulations!

Do you know if you are the first to do this cross?

Would love to see a pic?

gabbahey Feb 11, 2004 01:58 PM

No, unfortunately I do not have any photos.

Used a male couperi and a female melanurus...egg viability was 100% and all the offspring took frozen thawed fuzzies for first meals (Which is usual for melanurus but not for couperi)

I do not believe I was the first, I remeber some years back seeing it on a price list for eithet Hank Molt, Tom Crutchfeild or Herpetofauna having the same hybrids available...

One that would self destruct! KABOOOOOM.

Only kidding. Just making sure people are watching...

That's the funniest thing you've ever said, Maddox, while herping or on the forums.

I wouldn't make a hybrid, I'd genetically alter a mongoose so it would only eat hybrids!!!

Dude, you just gave out my last name on the hyrbid forum. Next thing you know I will be getting strange letters covered in a white powdery...nevermind. Your attempt at humor was ill and I should hope you were kidding. Now if you had come up with some as classic as mine, I would let it slide. Stick to your Harry Potter movies, Hagrid.

What if I really wasn't kidding? And yes, the joke was crappy. I'll be on the other forum, mister mysterious anonymous "Snakeguy88". Who cares if they know who you are? Also, most of the people who waste their time on forums don't have the rocks to do anything about your comments.

I too have visited the houses of the holy while on the sairway to heaven during my service in the battle of evermore. Then I lost my way while doing the misty mountain hop while eating a tangerine, which caused me to fall in love with the d'yer maker on my way to california, who wrote words that made me mad and sent me to the gallows pole, where I sang my last song, which went like this:
This is the springtime of my love
The second season i am to know
You are the sunlight in my growing
So little warmth i've felt before.
It isn't hard to feel me glowing
I watched the fire that grew so low.
It is the summer of my smiles
Flee from me keepers of the gloom.
Speak to me only with your eyes
It is to you i give this tune.
Ain't so hard to recognize
These things are clear to all from
Time to time.
I've felt the coldness of my winter
I never thought it would ever go
I cursed the gloom that set upon us...
But i know that i love you so
But i know that i love you so.
These are the seasons of emotion
And like the winds they rise and fall
This is the wonder of devotion-
I see the torch we all must hold.
This is the mystery of the quotient-
Upon us all a little rain
Must fall, just a little rain?

My favorite song by them.

Zoso Feb 24, 2004 09:24 AM

Brandon, Andy,

I was wondering when some Zep fans out there might make mention of the name. So far, you guys are the first !!!

Brandon, looks like you spent awhile typing the lyrics to what is, coincidentally (!), my favorite Zep tune as well. Also one of the few I can play on the guitar and just begin to do it justice.

I remember a recent topic on herp names. Zoso also is the secret name of my kingsnake, and I am busy pondering what other Zep based names might be appropriate for herps...............any suggestions from you Zep fans ??

Andy......I trust you are referring to Led Zep IV as the "Zoso" album ?? It actually got that name because it was the only actual word on the album sleeve........since they disliked the corporate boys at that time.........but you probably already knew that(if you are old enough to remember album sleeves!!) Don't forget Physical Graffiti.....a great one as well !!

Where is the Zep forum on kingsnake anyway ???

snakeguy88 Feb 24, 2004 05:05 PM

That would be the one. I, unfortunately, missed out on Zep as I am but 17. I regret it every day of my life. I have a shirt from Haight-Ashbury that says Zoso on it though. Quite a nice shirt

I personally am a big fan of the whole "grunge" movement from Seattle. Some of the better bands are the ones that weren't popularized like Nirvana, which I consider trash. Cobain's voice wasn't that great and the guitar was not that strong. Mother Love Bone, Screaming Trees, Candlebox, Temple of the Dog, and of course Alice in Chains and Soundgarden. Those were the greats. The glory days of rock, though, are over IMO. Especially with all this new wave of trash music.

About the rain song:
I usually play it on a vintage gibson 12-string acoustic with a rio grande tone bone pickup. I DO play it in standard tunings, but I think if you are having trouble with it, it is probably because Page originally never played the song in standard tuning, but tuned to an open-Gmaj tuning, much the way bottleneckers (as I used to be) do. If you tune it that way it is EXTREMELY easy to play. I think we could continue this discussion in the "general" forum, if you'd like. I'm sure andy will be there to discuss the post-cockrock seattle movement of the early 90's, so I won't bother discussing the underrated grunge greats (grunge referring to time/location, not style).
