Vision cages and screening the flourescent shroud! Please help!

LindsayMarie Feb 07, 2004 05:17 PM

I am trying to buy 2 used vision cages. Problem is seems like everyone that is selling them doesnt have the flourescent shroud screened, just the heat shroud. I would need both screened as I would be housing bearded dragons in them.

Has anyone here had to screen the cages themselves? Do you have pics? How hard is it?! What are the tools needed?!

Thanks, Lindsay

My Vision cage came with screen over the flourescent light openings... Don't they all?!?

Drill a hole in the roof of the cage(to slip the cord thru) and hang a light fixture from the ceiling.

or you could call vision and they would probably send you the necessary rivets and vent to install the vent yourself.

I have modified many of my own vision cages and it is relatively easy. The plastic does not crack or split when you drill it or cut it witha jigsaw.
