If center of a PDF egg is grayish in color is it a dud?

The eggs might be a grayish color and still good. Healthy azureus eggs kind of turn half gray and half dark while they are developing. Any signs of "fuzziness" around the egg, or if the clear part around the egg is cloudy, it's probably bad.
