lighting question..

hey..

my beardies are in brumation for a bout 3-6 days more and i need to get a flourescent light for them.. i have the buldb its a repti sun , i for get wich numbers but it was reccommend to me. i do not have a hood for it and i am wondering if i could just use a regular flourescent holder from walmart instead of getting one at the pet store

Do! it is SO much cheaper and the pet store ones aren't really that much better.

ok, i was trying to figure out the difference between the pet store one or one from wal mart...so i will get one from wal mart..is a repti sun 8.0 ok for a bearded dragon..if not i would onnly use it for a few weeks if it is not very good..

reptisun 8.0 is fine. just make sure the fixture is for a T12 size bulb.

yea u can get a standard t12 fluro holder from like home depot or walmart.....the ones at the pet stroe are a rip....lol

HEH I just did exactly that. Payed 9.95 for an 18inch fixture from home depot and bought an 18inch reptiglo 8.0 bulb, works great.
