GTP prices

There is no question, the GTP is one of the most beautiful creatures on earth. But why in the world do they cost $500,$750, or $5000?! whats the justification?

Not only because they are beautiful, but also because it is still a relatively difficult and relatively infrequent species. Compared to other snakes they are still difficult to breed and even if breeding is now done on a relatively regular basis, a lot of babies/eggs are lost in the proces driving the price up. Although I am no breeder, it seems to takes a great deal of time, dedication and money to raise baby GTP...
