Need help. Just added another curly tail to the tank.

amixam98 Jun 08, 2003 10:52 AM

I already have a hatian curly tail lizard. I decided to buy another one last night. When I put the new one in the tank, my other lizard bit on his neck. My first lizard is three times bigger than the one I just bought. Is this nornal? Is he attacking the other lizard or not? The other lizard seems fine. I decided to seperate the two lizard. My question is, is this some sort of meet and greet or is he attacking the other lizard. TIA.

They could have been trying to mate. The onle you already had may have been the male and the one you added could have been the female. Was it like a quick bite on the neck or was it a bite on the neck, climb on top, and shover tail under hers, kind of bite?
