My mother in law purchased juvi rankins from Sundial last year. She was pretty sure that they were male and female. Well, as we all know, Rankins are hard to sex, and now that I have them, I am having my doubts. Before and during brumation they were inseperable, basking together, sleeping together, etc. One was a bit larger than the other even though they were close to the same age. Well, as I brought everyone out of brumation and increased light cycles, both rankins became extrememly active. I thought I was in business, and then I started noticing that both seem to be displaying male gestures. I have bred bearded dragons for years, but this is my first time with Rankins. Anyway, I have seen both head bob and have seen both bite at the back of the neck and try to pin the other. With my other dragons, the females don't usually do this. So my next question has to be .... if my suspisions are correct how hard is it going to be for me to find year old female rankins??? I hate that the little guys can't get what they want!!
