My hatchling has passed on

mike3 Feb 08, 2004 08:50 AM

I was going to take him to the vet this morning to get "the shot" but when i went to pick him up i relized he was dead. Even though we have a foot of snow out here, and the ground is frozen i dug him a grave and carved his name into his basking spot which is a piece of slate which is now a head stone. The upsetting thing is i let my dog out to do her buisness and she started diging in the grave, so i put a 3 foot high wooden fence so my dog cant get to it. What a day. Hope this doesn't happen to you guys.

i am very sorry for your loss-i know how you're feeling. something similar happened to my red saharan. she didn't make it even with 3 days at the vet and an outrageous bill. don't beat yourself up if you are feeling 'if you only made it there in time'. at least now there is no more pain! hang in there buddy. laura 1.0.0 mali uro (ZION)
