Question about housing a male

pspguy Feb 08, 2004 10:31 AM

Okay, I have come into a few 15gallon tanks with stands. They are basically 13" squared. Will my 2 males be happy in those dimensions. I was planning on putting them both in their own tank with a nice happy setup. I just wanna make sure they wouldn't be cramped.

you cannot house males togther .. they will fight.. keep them separate.. you can though house 1-2 female with them each... so now you have an excuse to buy more geckos.. i'll tell ya man these things get addicting.. i'm sure most will agree with me..

Yeah, my original message was kind of cloudy. I only have 2 males right now, and they aren't together, and I won't put them together, I didn't make the clear, lol. I just wanted to make sure once I moved them from the 20gallon long (which seems like waaaaaaaaaaaay too much space for 1 male alone), that he'd be fine.

If the immediate thought you came up with was the concern of a decent heat gradient, my initial tests done with a UTH and rheostat show about a 9 degree substrate temperature difference... plus I have used cork bark on the back to make him feel more secure and allow him to climb off the bottom and into "cubby" holes that I've built.
