What is this gecko?

I got this gecko from my friend but he know nothing about it. Please help me to identify it. Thanks in advance.

Sure looks like Tarentola annularis to me.

I agree, Tarentola annularis. I also recieved one of these at christmas time, the previous owners did not know a thing about it. I keep him in a vivarium 30inches x 24 inches x 12 inches. He tends to like a lot of hidding holes as they are nocturnal so i provided him with some rock caves and fake plants. I have found him to be very shy, although he will always bask in the light as soon as we leave the room. I have the humidity from low to moderate which seems to please him.

I hope you have success with your one, ours is a lot happier now that he has places to hide.
