Ovulation?

SerpentGuy Feb 08, 2004 10:53 AM

I noticed about a week ago that my female has a rather big bulge starting from about midway her body to her tail. Is it ovulating?? She hasn't bred with the male for a while either, and when they did breed it was about 25 times since december 12th. Do you think that the male and female are done breeding??

Guy,
. The lump going all the way to the tail is more likely gravidity than ovulation. When was the last time she ate and defecated? Most of the time when mine have the lump from midbody to the tail this time of year and they have not eaten for awhile they are gravid. I do have a few every year that look like this and act gravid for 5 or more months and then pass a giant messy stool and no babies. Keep your fingers crossed.

Last time she ate was a few months ago. I'm going to try and start feeding her again once i know that the male is DONE trying to breed with her. It looks as if (if i can remember right) that the lump started as a big bulge then got bigger and longer and gradually went all the way to her tail.
