NEED URGENT ADVICE!!!!!!!

dazz Feb 08, 2004 12:28 PM

I was given a collared lizard from a girl i know hwo works in
a local pet shop but she suspects he has parasites or
worms!! he hasnt been eating for some time now and looks
really skinny. The pet shop have been giving him baby food through a syringe (which he does eat) and water mixed with
calcium and vitamins and the odd crushed waxworm. He is very active and jumps all over the place and seems quite alert but the only thing that is worrying me is his weight. The shop i got him from gave me a wormer "NITROSCANATE" to see if that will clear up the suspected worms but i dont have a clue how to work the % i have to give him? they said give him about a 10% solution of the tablet, the tablet is about 100mg but how do i work this out??

Please help i just him to make him fit and healthy as i couldnt leave him in that pet shop to face certian death...

...start winging it with something a pet shop furnished, I'd recommend getting a fecal exam done by a vet, then IF the problem is parasites, treat them with the specific product for the parasites indicated, which the vet will prescribe. OR: Get some "parazap" and begin mixing it with his rations, as per the label instructions.

just gave it to someone on another forum !

http://sidorsky_1.tripod.com/dragons/parazap.html

Go there and read about it, make up your mind if you want to use this for parasites,

If you dont go to the vet,
this is better than not doing anything,
I really like it, and always have some availble to treat any new wc lizards that I bring in.

Good luck with your new guy !
