HOvabator help

uropat Feb 08, 2004 01:20 PM

For some reason my hovabator refuses to go below 94 degrees F. I have tried both directions and moved it a bit every time, but 1 cm from being off makes the temps above 90, and I know that won't produce any leos.

How far are you spinning it? I have to turn mine a whole turn per degree. So if your at 94 spin it about 6 - 8 full turns clockwise and see what that does.

If i turn it any farther clockwise it turns off

My hovabator doesnt go below 82, and this is with the top half off. I really want to keep the top snugly on top, but if i do that, the temperature goes way up. The spinning thing is all the way to decrease and wont spin anymore, and i dont want to break the hova, since it is not mine. Any suggestions?

It's not turning off for good. It's just turning off to adjust the temperature and allow it to cool off. Turn it down and come back in 20min.

I just realized that the wafer and adjusting screw are the little metal circle in the bottom of it. I had originally thought that my hovabator had not come with the screw and ordered one, and just didnt' notice the wafer missing at all, now I found the wafer and the temps are getting correct right away. Dang I'm stupid
