Is this common?

One of my azureus embryos is developing with one side pigmented and the other side unpigmented. Included is a picture, which isn't the best, but you can see the half/half split (it is not shadow). I'm assuming that as it develops it will become fully pigmented.

From my experience with eggs, which is limited, eggs that develop and look like the one on the left always turn into deformed or dead tadpoles. Often their heads are mishapen or they just don't make it and die inside the egg. I've had strange looking eggs go bad and then the fungus that develops on those spread to other good eggs so you might want to consider removing the bad egg. Good luck,

Sorry, I forgot to add that I had one clutch of eggs where all the developing tadpoles were a grayish black rather than a solid dark black, kind of like the light side of yours. They all made it to tadpoles and seem to be doing well. Does anyone know what causes this color change?
