Anyone use comet or the like for cleaning their cages?

I just ordered the chlorhexidine, but I want to cover the full spectrum of bacteria when I clean my cages since I do deal with wc snakes from time to time.
I think bleach may be a little drastic, but what about Comet or the other bleach dishwashing powders? Are these any safer? Anyone use em?

I have been using Quatricide PV by Pharmacal Labs for many years....kills just about anything, it is easily applied (spray it, wipe it and it is cleaned, deodorized and disinfected)and very cost efficient. Big APple sells a similar product that is good but more expensive (if you use a lot of it).

I think Comet and Ajax can produce toxic fumes like bleach and they are even more difficult to rinse completely. I use Nolvasan first then I follow up with steam cleaning and I have never had a problem. Make sure you follow proper quarantine protocol with any new addition to your collection.
