I Love Luecy's....My new female......Duffy, take a look...

Spardawolf Feb 08, 2004 04:47 PM

I picked her up today at a show. She is a 2002 female from Peter Rushton. (Does she look familiar Duffy?) He really has some beautiful snakes. I picked up a normal Tx Rat male from him also. When he calms down I will post a pic of him. That makes 3 from Peter now.
BTW, I am still trying to come up with a name for her. You can help if you would like.

After we took a couple of pics, she wasn't too happy. This is how she showed us. (of course you can't hear her tail rattling)

I saw him last weekend at the Columbus show. He had brought a leucy to show someone who had expressed interest, but left one at home, saying that he was holding it for someone. Was that you? You say the normal is kinda feisty right now? That probably won't last too long. If he's really nippy at first, try the latex glove trick. They seem to dislike the taste and it takes the fun out of striking. Good for you! I love all the North American Ratsnakes, but I'm really starting to like the Texans alot. The normals are, in my opinion, very under-rated.
Even a "normal" looking normal is quite striking. Enjoy! I know you will. :D

I agree Texas rat snakes are underrated. I really like them. I have a trio of w/c Texabs from Bryan, TX and a trio of w/c from College Station,TX. Here's a pic of one of my Bryans.

Terry, you are both right. I like the normals alot. They look kind of like chocolate. I can't wait to see how this little guy turns out. He was the lightest one in the bunch. (Now I am getting addicted to these little buggers )

I contacted him a few weeks ago, and he told me about her. I knew just from the quality of what I saw last time, and of my flame, that I definately wanted her. I didn't plan on buying the normal, but he just caught my eye. I plan on doing more business with him in the future. He really does have some great snakes.

That's a nice looking pink eyed leucy Texas rat snake. I'll be looking for a pic of the normal. Congratulations.
