do they smell?

hi i really want a corn snake and was wondering if they spray stinky stuff if they are theatened like garder snakes do?

Nope. They can, but i've never heard of one doing it. Very tiny hatchlings will sometimes defecate on you when you pick them up, but they stop after a few handlings.

None of my corns have ever musked (sprayed stinky stuff). Like most ratsnakes, they can, and probably will when caught in the wild, or if they feel particularly in danger, but it really does not seem to be much of an issue at all with corns.
For what it's worth...My garter snakes don't musk me anymore either. I have had them since they were tiny, and although they got me a few times when they were much smaller, they are pretty calm now. Duffy
