fiberglass screen for false bottom tanks

axelkid Feb 08, 2004 08:11 PM

Hi, I think this is a dumb question but I want to ask just to make sure.

I went to home depot and bought some fiberglass screen (usually used for mosquito netting) to use over egg crate in a false bottom set up. I just wanted to make sure fiberglass screen was ok for vivarium use.

Thanks!

Ken

That's what I use, and haven't had any problems. Actually, you're less likely to have problems with the fiberglass stuff than the aluminum or galvanized. We want to see pics when this tank is set up! We know you have the materials now, so you're on the clock!
