ok - you asked - you shall receive.
- This is how I used to set up my Tank. As you can see - I had red dirt, Aquarium stones and pieces of wood i had found in the bush behind my house.

Where did you get the red dirt?I know in some places its in your backyard but not around here.
You can go to garden supply places. I got mine from a pet store. They were bagged in 4kg bags for $5 each. I got 4, It was plenty enough for a 4ft tank. However, Be careful when using this sort of Substrate, Could lead to breathing probs.
