I am planning on getting a 48"x 20" x 18"
Long x Deep x Tall

Is this a good size for a Beardie?

Sure, that is a good size for a juvi-adult dragon. If you plan on putting a baby in there you might want to section off the tank until he can hunt, and catch his food in a bigger area. crickets like to hide and come out at night and nibble on the dragon. The smaller size just makes it easier to remove the crickets after feeding. i fed my dragons in a seperate smaller tank. Some dragons take to being fed out of the cage, some don't.
