Breeding question

biscuit71 Feb 08, 2004 09:12 PM

I have read around some, to find out the proper way to get a pair to breed, but I'm not sure if it will happen or not. When does breeding usually take place? I keep them in the same tank, and was wondering if maybe there would be more success if they were kept seperate and introduced JUST for breeding, or being together they are fine.... The other question i have is that they seem to have really slowed down on thier eating... I know if they arent losing weight and such i should be fine, but it is still a little unnerving.. i mean, i go a day without it, and i could eat just about anyhting.... its been like a month or so and they seem perfectly happy. And advice on anything would be great...

Are they active or do they sleep alot. If there not active they could be brumating (hibernating). They will breed on thier own if kept in the same tank theres no need to re-introduce them.
