Need info on Rusty rat snake morph

dingoblue Feb 08, 2004 09:43 PM

Hey everyone.

I just acquired a rusty black rat snake recently, and wondered what locality info was available on this particular morph. I have heard that it was found in Maryland first. Also, does anyone know the going rate for a rusty? I'm not looking to sell, but would just be interested in a female possibly in the future.

Thanks for the help.

Some old herper told me that they were catching rusties in Prince George's county Md back in the later 70's other guys have told me they came from Baltimore county MD. They are the only co-dominate colubrid out that I know of. There like most snake they very in color some are lighter and brighter than others. I bought mine from a show some yrs ago for $50 a baby....I seen them go as much as $150 a baby[het for amelanistic]
