How do I hook my fan up to my universal adapter? Please help!

There is a barnd of universal adapters called POWERLINE they sell at Walmart. And I need to know how i would hook this up to my fan. There are three chords and i dont know what ones to strip or what ever i need to do to hook my fan up to it.
