I am currently working in Northern Iraq, and am looking for any info on reptiles in this area.

There are several good books that would cover much of that area. There are a couple of books on Snakes of Turkey (in Turkish unfortunately), there is Latafi's Snakes of Iran (which covers the other end of the country) and there is a book on Amphibians and Reptiles of the Middle East (Anderson and Leviton). The last two are available through SSAR.

There aren't really any good online resources. Probably the best closest thing would be the UAE online page which would have at least some of the widespread Arabian species.

You can also try AMPHIBIANS AND REPTILES OF THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN by Disi/Modry/Necas/Rifani. Try ZOO Book Sellers, they have come thru on a lot of my more unusual needs.
