Sexual maturity

shasha369 Feb 08, 2004 11:03 PM

I have 2 Beardies from the same clutch that I have been housing together perfectly fine. They are 4-5 months old . I had to seperate them today because the one I think of as the top dog male was bothering the other one. The second one is smaller but I think it is another male though probably not able to breed due to a Sever Kink in its tail. So WHEN DOES SEXUAL MATURITY STRIKE?

They shouldn't breed until 18 mo, but at 4-5 mo they can start harrassing and trying.
That's why everyone always says seperate by 6 mo. Often it needs to be done earlier.
The youngest dragon having eggs I've heard anyone admit to is 8 mo.
