and today I noticed that there are a few specs of white and green on my ghost wood-what is it? it is mold?is it anything to worry about?will it get out if hand? do I need to get rid of it?

when i had ghost wood in my Chinese Water Dragons cage i had the same thing happen and the spots were mold. i had used ghost wood in high humidity before with no problems, but this particular piece got moldy. if anyone knows why only some of the wood gets moldy, id be intrested to know.

most woods do have some molds when they are in a terranium but they do dissapear afterward.

In several of my tanks I have had what appeared to be a white powdery residue. I avtually thought it was the powder I used to dust my flies. It turned out to be a mold or fungus and a few days later ther was mushrooms growing there. I actually thought it gave the tank a nice look. Never did it harm anything in the tank so I would say it is ok.
