Cornsnake humidity question?

Uncloudy Feb 09, 2004 01:46 AM

I live in SW AZ in an extremely low humidity environment, not to mention Air-Conditioning in the summer.
Was wondering if my two new baby corns (Aug. '03) should be misted periodicially or put in a water bath prior to shed or in shed cycle with the low humidity here in this climate I live in?
Thanks in advance for any responses and HAPPY HERPING!!!

Yeah, definitely mist him up real good whilst he is opaque. every day probably wouldn't hurt in AZ. It's pretty dang dry here in ID, and my corns love some extra humididty, but I have an auto system in the room for that. Jus don't soak him completely, too much of a good thing...well, sucks.

No one in the world ever gets what they want, and that is beautiful. Everybody dies frustrated and sad, and that is beautiful.

August of 03 should be old enough that you don't have to go too nuts over humidity. But I would make sure they have either a water bowl big enough to soak in and/or a damp moss hide. Make a nice damp place without wetting down the whole cage. Misting is only gonna last a couple hours max...then it all evaporates.

Failure is not an option. It comes bundled with the software.
