Due to hatch in two days...

afflicted Jun 08, 2003 12:42 PM

This Vargin female is on day 48(maternal incubation) and the eggs look great. Personally, I have had way better success using the maternal method than artificial incubation so why try to fix what isn't broken? The only drawback is that I have no idea how many viable eggs are in there but I guess I will find out real soon. I will post pics when something noteworthy takes place.

This male is one of my favorites. He is a CB '94 animal. The father to him was produced by Scott Selstad. The mother came from zoo stock(by way of Joe Pierce) and she had a solid blue mother. Kind of confusing family tree on him but maybe this will save some posts, LOL. Thanks for looking.

You have some nice looking snakes. Your pictures are really great looking too. What kind of camera are you using?

just using the old Nikon Coolpix 990...I just took a bunch of pics of momma with a couple babies hatching out from within her coils. I will post those in about an hour or so.

Great picture! I agree with you. It's tempting to stick to what works. I hope many eggs are viable in your clutch! Make sure to take pics of them hatching with mom! :D
