Incubating in Sphagnum Moss?????

hatchdragon Feb 09, 2004 06:52 AM

I am getting ready for this seasons laying, and am toying with the idea of incubating in sphagnum moss. I know alot of kingsnake breeders that use it. I have previously used perlite and vermiculite and have lost some eggs to mold because of my humid climate. Anybody have any opinions???

Never used moss. I use the standard vermiculite and I live in a very humid area (Florida). The humidity for dragon eggs needs to be very high anyway. It is possible that one bad egg caused the mold and it spread from one egg to another.
