Question on females and eggs

mngrivera Feb 09, 2004 01:00 PM

I have what I believe to be a almost 3 month old female beardie. I was wondering at what age (or even if she would) start putting out infertal eggs. I know I don't have nothing to worry about it right now but I thought I would get educated now rather than later. When the time comes do I set a place as if they were fertal? Thanks everyone!

Yes, you have quite a while to wait and not all females will lay eggs. Usually in the cases where they do lay infertile eggs it occurs after approximately 18 months. If it does happen, then yes you would make a suitable laying bin for her.

Hope this helps
