makes there poop stink really bad and pellets dont provide enough protein. they will not grow as fast or as full.

Sorry, but that statement is wrong! I raise and breed dragons cricket free and 98% of their diet is Rep cal pellets and veggies. They only get live silk worms as treats twice a week.

I found that the poop smell decreased once the crickets and super worms were removed from my dragons diets.

As youngsters they grow a little slower, but they hit a growth spurt at around 3 months of age and quickly gain weight and length to match ANY live food raised dragon.

thanx so far

they really seem to be loving there pellet only diet so for, but a nother question i have is what should i do about their Vitamin intake. Should i dust the pills and should i still dust their veggies? I use reptical pellets and they say that their is no need for further vitamins and not even a need for veggies. is this true?

let me know
thanx

I still use added sups.

I would lightly dust with calcium 2 x per week and a multi vitamin 1 x a week.

I have since switched to the T rex super foods, which I use daily on their salads.

Oh, and .....

I would still give them veggies. I personally wouldn't like to eat the same thing EVERY day for the rest of my life

The veggies helps give them some variety

yeh im trying to do the same thing and hes comin around, today he actually refused to eat more than 10 crix and ran to his salad and ate some salad, bugger has attitude lol. So im gonna be switching to salad and pellets but id recommend adding SAndfire supplements to the salad, its "completes" the salad cuz its like a meal in a bottle. It makes sure they are gettin everything. Its like an assurance in case the pellets somehow dont do the full trick. So pellets, veggies, and sandfire supplements is the way to go if u go that route. Ill still feed mine insects, probly silkworms 2 times a week maybe 3, but not many to make sure they are gettin animal protein.

can u feed a beardie srtickly "veggies" without the pellets, if so...at what age is is safe to do so? and which veggies are best to feed to them to ensure they get all their vitamins and stuff?

No, it would not be a good idea. They still require protein in some form.

Mine were only getting salad and pellets, with supplements, during that real bad cold snap a few weeks ago in the northeast (couldn't get crickets) and they were both very pissed off to say the least. Got to the point where they tried to bite when you put the salad in with them. They stopped doing that once we got more crickets though.
