Introducing Dave.. (Pics)

All4Sky Feb 09, 2004 01:28 PM

Here's some of pics of my new SHTCT male, Dave. I got him a few days ago and wanted to wait for him to calm down a little before I took him out for pics. I'm still learning how to use my camera so I apologize for some slight blurriness!

Your leo is not orange so why call it a tang????? I understand there is alot of confusion on this...... Certain sellers are the blame for that...... Alot of people selling "tangs" are really selling yellow super hypo carrot tails...... I feel when there is a big lack of orange coloration the tang should be left out........ Very very pretty leo you have there......

I was gonna say theres no tangerine in him. He's a hypo carrot tail. Not to say that he isn't a gorgeous gecko, hes just not a tangerine.

[URL]www.theurbangecko.com[URL] They have some crazy tangerines for comparisson.

Thanks, you make a good point. The thing is, in person its somewhat yellow/orange depending on his mood. It's really hard to photograph these little guys with their true coloration. His orange isnt as bright as his tail thats for sure! But I do know what you are talking about with sellers listing their geckos as tangerines. I guess I'll consider him to be a SHCT with .025 tangerine lol. Now I need to wait for his girlfriend to come in!

Once again not to put the gecko down at all I wish I had a carrot tail

Then again breeders will list any genetics the gecko may have so who knows you might get insane tangerine babies who knows.

Best of luck.

Flashes do wash out some color....... Thats why you need to snap about a hundred pics until you get one to the closest coloration...... Very nice all the same...... Looks like it has some very nice clean genetics....... Good luck with his girlfriend......

WOW!! I love the way his tangerine body contrasts with his deep orange tail!! That's how my male is also. Also very clean, no spots seeping through at all
