i was thinking of getting an argentinian bw tegu and instead of building another cage i was wondering if they would be able to live together. my current tank is huge so space would not be an issue. also does sex matter when adding another tegu like it matters with other lizards??

i would say yes. tegulizards (jerry) has a full grown gold that lives in the same cage as a 6-7 month old argentine bw (he'll probably post some info). argentines i heard are suppose to eat other lizards but his gold and bw bask together and get along fine. good luck, justin

I'm currently housing my male colombian with my blue female and they have been getting along quite fabulously for a while now.

I would think It would depened on each of the tegus Personal behaver. Santiago is Really laid back with every thing he does, Even if he has been in his out doore inccloser for 5 hrs. Siena has a very agressive food responce and is the more domint tegu. they get along great now, but She would push him off the basking site Clime on top of him to get him to move.She even for a couple of dayswould bite him on the side of his face just befor his jowles.Now they get along fine , but she tryies to take his rat when he drops it ( he plays with his rats for a couple of minutes be fore he eats them ). But last week he pushed her out of the way to eat the meal worms . She just stood there and I think she was Suprised that he did this .Santiago is 4' 3" and 17 -18 lbs- Siena is 3' 2 3/4" and wiehgs 5-6lbs/. Santiago os a Arentine Blk& wht male - Siena is A female blue.
