Seeking info

huricanmj Feb 09, 2004 06:00 PM

I feel so sheepish asking remedial questions, but I have been unable to find care sheets online for columbian boas. I am seeking to branch out into boa constrictors (I currently have a burmese - phil - whom I love dearly). I want to do some homework prior to purchasing one. If one of you boa-savvy people could direct me to a good care sheet I would appreciate it. I am looking for specifics on ambient temps, preferred heating sources (heat panels are all I have used), humidity levels and lighting needs (my burm could care less about light). I thank all who respond in advance for their helpful information.

The link at the top of the page is a good place to start.
Here's what I found under Boas-http://www.kingsnake.com/boapage/caresheets/boaconstrictorcare.html

Also do a quick search on google.com. I find tons of links for Boa constrictor caresheets there granted, they may not all be great. They should be able to give you the basics on temps and enclosures.

Not that the nice people here won't help - but doing this will give you something to start asking questions about.
Good luck in your research!
Lora
