ATTENTION EVERYONE WHO POSTS HERE>>>>>

I think we should petition to kingsnake to make a new TOS rule regarding posting--or at least, posting damaging threads publicly BEFORE personally emailing the person/people at question.

There is a disclaimer at the top of the forums about attacking, slandering, obsencity, ect. All that needs to happen is an e-mail into kingsnake pointing all this out and the posts will be deleted.

I do not come onto the forums very often, especially since a similar experience put me into tears last summer and nearly ruined my newly started online business......because someone did not bother to read the details of my ad, email me, or visit my webpage, and I certainly do not come on here now to see this sort of crap.

I am not picking on anyone in particular, because this is far from the first ragging back and forth since I joined last summer. But the most recent attack posts have driven me to open my mouth after 10 months of silence.

This hurts a lot of people and a lot of relationships. We are all on here because we share at least a few things--love and concern for our bearded dragons (and other herps).

PLEASE find it in your hearts, and souls to stop picking and going back and forth. We ALL do not need to see this. If you want to continue, please personally email each other and keep it off our forum.

Thanks everyone,
Heather

~As Heather knows, I agree with her entirely.

~It is very sad that some people seem to have a need to make someone else look bad so that they, themselves, can look better. This is a firm symptom of insecurity. (and yes, I do have the degrees and education to make this statement!) Young persons need to learn to watch and listen more. Everything is a learning experience, not to be missed. And it also helps these rookies from shoving their foot in their mouth up to the knee!!!

~There are many ways of monitoring this sort of thing. I hear many of the authority people here are quite capable..and I even know a few of them. It is up to the seasoned folks to help the younger and less experienced ones learn , not only the fine points of herp husbandry but the rules of common sense, simple consideration, respect, and the old "Think before you speak" rule. I worry about many of this new generation of reptile owners. What I do, I do for the love of herps...there is certainly no big money in it for me. But I am a nurse, so that concept has been the pattern for my life.

~A "warning", in this one particular incident, was actually way past due, from what I have been hearing. No one has the right to put another up for scrutiny without knowledge if even basic details. Since this one person seems to have no idea how to emloy her own brakes, I suggest we, on the receiving end, put up a roadblock before she does any more real damage. How much padding we put on that "jersey barrier" is optional.>>chuckle

I am not familiar with the incident you are speaking but I believe this section of the TOS covers it:

"Posting warnings about companies or individuals, posting notices about bad deals or dealers, or posting personal attacks about companies or individuals, is a violation. "

Or maybe there is something I was missing.

There are two links right above each message to report abuse etc. if anybody feels a post violates the rules of the forum.
