Speaking dates...

EJ Feb 10, 2004 01:14 AM

I wasn't going to post this but figured 'what the hell'. I do enjoy meeting the people on this list and some people actually enjoy my talks.
I'm going to be giving my 'New tortoise' presentation at the following locations on the following dates.
Orange County chapter of the CTTC on Feb 13
Valley chapter/Granata hills CTTC on Feb 20
and The Northern California Herp Society at the
UC Davis on Mar 5th (that should be an interesting one because general herpers are not usually interested in chelonians)

I wish there was a way to bring you to SW Louisiana. I'd gather a crowd to come and listen and learn. Seems that some of the luckiest people live in So. Calif.

Maybe oneday I'll put together an excuse to do some herpin' in the area and try to set something up.
We are very lucky here in SoCal. It's presently 65 , sunny, a gentle breeze and the tortoises are lovin' it.

I'm scheduled for the March 5th meeting. It's just the monthly meeting for the herp society.

I live about 20 miles from UCD. I'll plan on attending. I am going to ride on the back of one of my Galaps to get there, so I'll leave tonight to get there on time. LOL

Ed,
What was the lizard you gave a talk on at the Midwest Herp Symposium in Peoria IL? That was a great talk with excellent photographs. I just can't remember the species you showed! I know you gave a talk about a reptile collection/zoo in general but there was one particular lizard in the talk was focused on?
Best wishes,
Mike

That was a presentation I have on a trip to the Canary Islands. It covers a research facility that focuses on a lizard called Gallotia gomerana the is an endemic on the island of Gomera.
Thanks for the kind words.
