I ordered a cage from enclosure by design in November. It did not arive untile December and when it did arrive there was some damage to the cage from the shipping process. I e-mailed them and told them about the damage. They said they would take care of me if I would send them some pictures of the damage. I took the pictures and have e-mailed them several times since then. It has been two months and they will not return my e-mails. I spent over $300 and have nothing to show for it. Has anyone else had this problem with this company? Any suggestions?

Well i hate to tell you this and dont take it as ripping you a new one or anything but you have been DUPED by the worst in the buisness. Sal is the worst buisnessman that you could ever have done buisness with Upstate Exotics / Enclosures By Design which are both his companies are INFAMOUS for screwing over customers be it taking the $ and NEVER sending animals cages or sending subpar sick mite infested snakes or shoddily built cages . The BOI if you visit that site and do a search on the 2 buisness names or Sal you will get that very uneasy feeling in the pit of your gut.A flashy website sells to easy to unknowing customers and Sal is the master of schrades when it comes to this. He and his wife split up in December 03 and im sure you sent the money to her paypal moonlightmedia as she had the bank account & PayPal account sal doesnt even have a bank account. There are a few people that were sucked in by this slimeball for the exact thing you got CRAP! but be glad you got a cage at all theres atleast one person out $623.oo from Dec 7th 03 and have not received a cage at all , Im sure you have emailed / called and got a "disconnected message" from his # and emails are not returned because i think he has left NY to now live in the sunshine state Florida and probably has a list of angry people a mile long .. i have a inside track of the company he was going to live/ work with there but at the present time im a lil leary of posting the name untill i see proof he has moved there as to not let him know he has been found or to keep him from readily NOT letting it be known... i would urge you to post your experience on the BOI to hopefully let others know there not alone .All you can do at this point is file a complaint with the NY BBB and "Maybe" paypal but thats probably no good because his PayPal account is shut down .. i wish you the best of luck in getting what you paid for

Your right I do have a cage. And the cage that I have can be salvaged. It just will not look as nice as what I had expected. I did not realize it was the same company as upstate exotics or I would have stayed away. It is SAD that this guy has picked the herp community to target. This is why herpers get a bad name. If I or the others that he had screwed was new to herps, then I am sure that they have been scared off and will never be back.
