In the pic, it looks just like my female. It definatly has the coloration of a female, but it is very rare for females to do the "circle dances" because males usually do this to mark their territory. When they spin in circles they excrete wax out of the pores onto the rocks or whatever they are spinning on, so basically they are claiming what they are spinning on theirs and that it is part of their territory. My guys do the posture thing you described all the time. I guess they always try to look big so in the wild a preditor desn't make a snack out of them. I would say male, but when after seeing that pic i am stumped, now i think you might have a female. The only way to be sure it is a male is to wait. If i had to take a guess, i would say female, because it looks like it is almost full grown, and Ra has the exact color of a normal female/ Also, RA doesn't have a lot of yellow on it's back and isn't show any jet black color. Ra acts like a boy, but i think Ra is a girl. This is just an educated guess so dont change the name or anything. So you could wait for Ra to start turning yellow and black, or wait for Ra to lay a clutch of eggs. So you could find out what Ra is within a few months. But if Ra doesn't start becoming black by next year then you probably have a female.
