QUESTION ABOUT REGURGITATION.............

cv768 Feb 10, 2004 10:08 AM

We fed our corn a small fuzzie but I guess it was still to big for him to digest so he regurgitated it back up...we tried feeding him pinkies again but he doesn't seem interested.

How long do you guys usually wait until you try feeding again after regurgitation? How long does it usually take before the snake is comfortable with eating again?

Some will tell you ten days. Don't jump the gun, as the digestive juices must be built back up. Also, make the next meal very small. You might even cut the head off of a small pinky to make it smaller, and to make it even easier to digest.
Some folks start with just a pinky HEAD. Give the little one total R & R (no handling) until several meals have been kept down. Good luck. Duffy
