feeding questions and a story

Is 2 180gm F/T rats every 3 weeks OK for an aproximately 4 1/2 foot adult BP. Or would 4 100gm F/T rats be better??? She is pretty fat so I am not worried about under feeding her right now. I just want to make sure she is getting whats best.
Also, how long can you keep frozen rats?

I have a story to tell.
The time before Last that I fed her she took the first rat right away. When I wiggled the second one in front of her she just looked at it funny and was just checking it out. So I dropped it in her feed box and left her alone. I checked on her a little while later she still hadn't eaten it and she was kind of laying over it. When I went to take it out to refreeze it she tensed up on it so I couldnt even move it. So I left it there again and when a checked on her shortly after she had eaten it. And the last time I fed her the first on she struck as soon as she saw it and the second one I had to drop in her feed box and leave.
The End. Is she a weirdo or what?!?!

Why not just feed her one rat of a larger size? I can't tell you how much it should weigh, but just feed one that is as thick as your snake...and I might bump up the feeding schedule to about 2 weeks.

My bp will never eat a 2nd prey item if offered. He eats large rats right now...but if I have to feed something smaller and try a second one, it just never takes it. However, I have seen my boa do what you described. I think that her feeding response is much much more intense on the first prey item. She'll keep eating until I stop giving food to her, but usually she'll just kinda mope around and push at with her nose for a while before she decides to consume another meal.
