That reminds me of one of mine.. he looks similar to that, but I have no background on him.
What is her belly pattern like?
Here's my guy.. I estimate him at somewhere around 3-4 years old, maybe older.

Sorry about the bad photo-flash tends to make things look terrible and I haven't gotten around to taking new pics of him yet. His belly is a faded orange/black-the checkerboard markings are blended together, like someone brushed them on.

I was checking out the belly on one of my 03 oketees this weekend. I noticed some red in the checkering. I'm new to Oketees and was wondering is this something that is exclusive to Oketees or does this occur in others as well. For example, Miamis? I've never noticed it on any of my other snakes. Thanks Jim

The corn snake is a highly variable animal. Some have lots of reddish orange mixed in with the belly checkering, and others have yellow, while others yet have hardly anything but black and white with some orange/yellow "overspray". This could be an Okeetee X Bloodred, hard to tell. The only sure way would be to breed it and see what kind of offspring it throws. Either way, its a nice looking corn.

A blood red wouldn't have the checkering on the belly.
I don't see any reason to believe that blood reds are involved here. Okeetees are a strain of brightly colored corns originally from the Okeetee Hunt Club in Jasper County in SE South Carolina. The name has been widened to include similarly brightly colored corns from other parts of the range.
