I had an empty fish tank in my basement for a few months and i took it out today so i could clean it so i could get some new fish or frogs. Does anyone know the best way to clean the tank? Should i use bleach to make sure i kill any stuff that is living in there right now? Im worried there might be some living stuff in there now since it has some green spots. Thanks

Don't use bleach. Use white vinegar and water 60/30 vin/water. It doesn't have to be exact. Make sure to rinse it a few times before using it.

I've used bleach diluted in water to clean tanks before. Bleach is more likely to kill any unwanted microbes. Just be sure to rinse very well several times so that there is no residue.
