Breeding Mice

cancerrr Feb 10, 2004 02:18 PM

I was at the petstore today for worms, and decided to buy some mice to breed them for pinkys. I have never found a place that sells live pinkys, and I know my leos, and probably the wd, wont eat anything that doesnt move. So, I have two females and one male. They should start breeding in a couple weeks. Does anyone have tips or suggestions on breeding them, nutrition, etc? Also, what do you do if you have too many pinkys? How do you know they are healthy?

Your mice will be healthy if you feed them a high guality food, your feeders are only as healthy as what you feed them. They should be as cared for as your pets are. What you do with your surplus is up to you. Some freeze them to feed later, as some herps learn to take pre killed prey items. If you ever wanted a snake now is the time. Its what I did and it works well.
