can western's be kept safley together? once again i've heard rumors the males might stop eating if around females 24/7 but not sure how true this is

Actually the problem is that they will eat other. It doesn't matter if you have had them together for 2 yrs, their feeding response goes above any reasoning ability.

If you keep them together watch out when breeding time rolls around. Male western hogs WILL eat the eggs laid by the females. Been there, done that! (Forgot to get the T-shirt)
