Heating a rubbermaid...

Tigergenesis Feb 10, 2004 05:21 PM

if using a human heating pad to heat a rubbermaid - can I just sit the rubbermaid on the heating pad which is directly on a stand or does there need to be some airflow under the heating pad?

If the heat pad has one of those Clothe covers you can rest it on the heat pad BUT the heat distributes more evenly with even a slight gap.

LOL. I want to build a quarantine rubbermaid for future purchases. And when my BP (or any other snakes I get) are bigger, I'll use it to sit them in while I clean his/their cages.

The rubbermaid that my BP is going to go in is in my room is like 60 degrees so i have to use a human heat pad, reptile heat pad, and overhead heat lamp. I recomend tapeing a towel to at least one two sides of the rubbermaid for heat retention.
