Seems as though I can never get a pic of this guy when hes NOT shedding ! But hes a pretty guy just the same, LOL

He likes climbing this big ole log !
I have had Crispy for about 4 years. And he is single DUDE !

He enjoys watching Cleo, my female Egyptian, but he can not come out and play with her, as she has gotten extremely aggresive with him, in the last 2 years.

dont get along. They actually used to live together, I guess you remember. Did not think I would ever have to worry about breeding because of the size difference. (just companionship)

Anyway 2 years ago during breeding season, they both started to get fired up, nipping, and neck biting. Harmless sweet nothings, LOL

Then all of a sudden Cleo grabbed him (the saharan by the neck and picked him up in her mouth, up into the air, like he was a TOY ! Scared the bejebbers out of me, and that was it !

The egyptians are powerful, very strong, normally I would never have housed them together. But because she was so meek with me after the burn ordeal, she seemed meek to him also.

NOW if she even sees him she literally CHARGES HIM, I never knew she could move so FAST !!! LMAO

I mean, putting them together only for breeding? Perhaps when she's ready, she'd accept his advances but only for that period of time? Would that work?

The species like that.

One of the attributes of the Egyptian is size. You would want to only breed an Egyptian with another to keep that size.

There is a big difference, My male saharhan is probably 13 inches, I'm not sure.

But Cleo the female Egyptian is just about 20 inches, I personally would not do it ! Even if she did like him, LOL

I guess I read the post wrong. I didn't know you were talking about a Saharan and an Egyptian (kinda sounds like the beginning of a joke; a Saharan, an Egyptian and a Mali walk into a bar... ) I also didn't know that different species of uro could get along for any period of time.

i remember thinking that was an amazing image and wondering how they got along.
I have seen the same image of a Uro being hoisted in the jaws of another. That is not a sight you really want to see.
Thankfully, no real damage.

she basked ! He was super orange back then in that pic.
For so long they were inseperable. It all started the first time they slept.

Upon waking, they were very AMOROUS with one another, her more sexual them him, LOL

And then inbetween love nibbles, she started to get real rough with him. Like i say, it may have just been a breeding thing.

But the size difference is incredible !
He looked like a toy being flung around. :0( And so ended the happy companion idea. Before the sex interest it was FINE
