We found Him

palex134 Feb 10, 2004 06:03 PM

We had lost our favorite ball python Montey a couple of days ago. we have cage locks on the split 55 gallon and he still escaped. After a couple of days of searching we found him tonight. Im so happy.
Just want to tell you all. Has this ever happened to anyone else. Who else has lost a Ball python?

My ball python Damien escaped twice, the first time I found him right away but the second time he was out for several weeks! I thought I'd lost him for good since there was a hole in the wall leading to other apartments in my building. But I came home one day and the little buggar was sitting in the middle of the living room.

my Marilyn got out and was gone for about 5 days, I too thought he went into the apartment walls and was gone. But he turned up in a doctors bag of finger nail polish I have, good thing I decided to do my nails that night.

When I moved into the house I live in I was told that a BP had escaped here. It has been over 7 years, and we have never seen Herman, but occasionally see signs. (Sheds)

Oh, and I do not have a mouse problem.

I did one time find a friends iguana who had been missing for over a year, alive and grumpy as always!

Crazy! I wonder if Herman is still alive somehow - do you live somewhere warm/humid?

Yes, I always keep my house quite warm, (I am part reptillian) and we have had our share of escaped rodents, so there is probably a food source. I believe he is in the rafters, although I have never been able to find him.
