STRESS

ForlidaHerp is right but I will try and elaborate for him

Lets look at all factors and we will be able to piece this together

1. You just bought him
2. This is one anole in a 10 Gal terrarium

Since you just got him (Just over 1 week ago) I can point to this as being the number 1 reason for stress in your anole. Moving is stressful period and it can take up to a month to de-stress, usually less but I would say month to be on the safe side. If after a month of being in the terrarium and you see no change then you should definitely take him to a Herp Vet. (You should take every new reptile to a vet to check for any parasites etc. But for now lets say you have not already done this)

Other factors to consider..... if you have got any other anoles or for that matter any other reptiles or amphibians in the tank they could also be a cause if they seem dominate to him. Also I noticed right before my anole shed she would get stressed.

If you have any other questions just shout them out.
