About a month till it starts warming up. Who's looking for what this season? I'm hoping for a Southern Pacific female for my Mojave male. You?

It would be interesting if they bred, scutalatus X helleri, that wouldn't be something i'd want to get tagged by...me personally , living in southern New Mexico, will be looking for atrox mostly, but there are some molossus and viridis to be found if you look in the right places...also C. lepidus klauberi can be found, hoping to find a few of those.
The crazy thing is that here in CA Mojave/Southern Pacific crosses are becoming very common. A decent percentage of Helleri are being found to have Mojave Toxin in their Venom. Now you get two nifty toxins (hemo/neuro) for the price of one. Scary, but true.
On a side note, I went looking for some Red Diamonds today but they aren't ready to come out yet. I heard on the radio that we are supposed to have 10 sunny, warm days in a row, so we will see in a few days.
First Snakes of the Year: Two Southern Pacific Rattlesnakes (orange phase....seriously) Mostly Dark Green but had thick orange coloring in the patterning. Will post picture later. Both within 45 minutes (San Diego County)
